What is Apparel Sourcing Expo- Asia?
Apparel Sourcing Expo- Asia, ASEA, (formerly Apparel’s China Symposium & Sourcing Fair) is organized by the VNU Media Group and the U.S.A.s leading magazine in garments and clothing, Apparel magazine. ASEA is supported by top-level professional organizations from Asia and North America, including The U.S. National Center for Apparel, The Apparel Association of California, KSA Management Consulting Association, The Shanghai Municipal Economic Commission, The Chinese Textile Business Association, and The China Chamber of Commerce of Import and Export of Foodstuff, Native Products and Animal By-products. ASEA is focused sourcing show that matches export-ready Asian manufacturers with apparel and clothing buyers from the United States and Europe looking to purchase in bulk. Since its debut in 2004 as Apparels China Symposium & Sourcing Fair, ASEA has benefited from worldwide recognition as one of Asias most professional and focused sourcing shows.
The 2005 edition of Apparel’s China Symposium Sourcing Fair was held in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from September 20-21, 2005.The fair attracted 256 famous apparel suppliers and more than 1,900 buyers from 27 countries with real decision-making ability and purchasing power. The event kicked-off with a high-level networking day that included a golf competition and networking dinner.The second-day was devoted to an informative symposium on Asian sourcing, and was followed by the two-day sourcing fair.The whole program wrapped up on the last day with a hands-on visit to local factories.With ample matchmaking chances, platforms for communication, opportunities to meet and mingle with industry players, and resources to expand business, the 2005 edition of ASEA was once again welcomed as a success by both the exhibitors and the international visitors.
Apparel Sourcing Expo- Asia 2006 will be held again at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from September 19-20, 2006. The current situation in global sourcing demands manufacturers and buyers to expand beyond their traditional supply chains. To provide a better overall business platform, ASEA 2006 will present suppliers from throughout Asia including China, Korea, Thailand, India, Vietnam, and a host of other Asian nations. ASEA 2006 will also develop its global buyer promotion to reach beyond the U.S.A. to include more buyers from Europe, the Middle East, Japan, and N. & S. America. Global sourcing requires a global presence; that presence will be found at ASEA in 2006.
